Ananthu Aniraj
PhD Researcher | Inria

I am a PhD researcher at Inria, France, under the supervision of Dr. Diego Marcos, in collaboration with the University of Montpellier. My research focuses on building inherently interpretable computer vision systems, with a particular emphasis on fine-grained species classification. I am co-supervised by Dr. Cassio Fraga Dantas and Dr. Dino Ienco from the Evergreen team at Inria, and collaborate closely with Dr. Massimiliano Mancini and Dr. Elisa Ricci from the MHUG group at the University of Trento.
I hold a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with distinction from the University of Kerala and an M.Sc. in Embedded Systems from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. My master’s thesis, supervised by Dr. Yan Li, Dr. Nicola Strisciuglio, and Dr. Luuk Spreeuwers, focused on instance-level part segmentation.
